What does this do? This mod is suppose to be 'THE RAIDING MOD'. It's made with the same inspiration as the mod some may not remember - RDX. RDX use to be the mod only serious guilds used because of everything it did(back in the 40 man days). I've been doing quite a bit of reading on some of the top end guilds websites and it seems quite a few prefer this over DBM and Bigwigs. I'm going to give it a shot tonight. It appears to have "idiot proofing" built into it. Just looking through the beasts options it will tell you the best way to run if he's looking at you or in your direction. It also has an option to have an arrow come up to point you to the paralytic / burning bile targets so you can meet happily at one point, make out, then go back to dpsing / healing / tanking. I'll post my reactions to the mod after tonights raid. |

I understand your point Tweila, and it's appreciated.
My problem is no one should need idiot-proofing. If you do, frankly, you need to work on getting better, not relying on a mod to tell you to not stand in a fire. Mods are nice when they help you do your job better, not when help you overcome fundamentals. |

Fundamentals are absolutely key to raid progression, I whole-heartedly agree, but some of the problem people are likely having is a lack of communication and coordination. For instance, as was the case with me last night, when I get the poison I need to know who to run to (which tank). I'm honestly afraid to ask on vent where said person is because 1. I'm supposed to keep vent clear and get bitched at if I don't and 2. said person rarely responds with any useful information (i.e. "I'm tanking the worm!"). I know what I need to do, but without being able to coordinate it on vent because of "chatter" restrictions, or simply due to the fact that other people are also communicating things such as taunt rotations and healing assignments, a mod such as this would make things vastly simpler and less stressful for both me and whichever raid leader is looking at fails that night and wondering "Hey...this kid is an idiot because he didn't do this...I wonder why?"
Of course, I also like the idea of being able to throw up giant red text on my screen saying "HEY DUMBASS - MOVE!" But that's just a cheap thrill for me because I'm a little bit of a masochist. |

This is the mod i use. It is great for all encounters. GIves timers for everything. Fully customizable. Range checker to the hundredth's of a yard. And arrows that tell you where things are that you need to kill. And it also alerts you when debuffs go out. tells you WHOM has those debuffs, and removes the bar that alerts you that they have a debuff when they are removed(Curse of Torpor) is the most significant one ive seen. High funtionality and great customization, with every element needed for a raid addon. Plus...it shows boss HP in the bar it pulls up when you set the encounter.
